Senior Systems Developer About the Job Our client is an industry leader headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio with a need to hire a Senior Developer for their Medical Supply System. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: § Participate in the software development life cycle (SDLC) for company's Medical Supply System. This includes: o Preparing detail design documents o Developing programs o Testing code o Preparing technical documentation § Support the software development environment, including using tools and methodologies KEY CHALLENGES: * Quick knowledge transfer from current employees to become productive in a short time * Ability to balance support requests in conjunction with new development * Ability to work with users and understand their needs to develop technical requirements * Ability to expand development role into possible Project Management position PROJECT MANAGEMENT: * Lead IT team to progress proprietary software application toward corporate/business goals * Oversee SDLC * Effectively communicate with all levels of personnel from corporate through end user * Ability to adapt and adjust priorities in an ever-changing environment * Work with large scale corporate initiatives as well as granular day to day issues * Ability to conceptualize, design and communicate system architecture MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor?s degree in IT or related field * 5+ years of experience in a procedural programming language (DB/C a real plus but experience with COBOL, C, Java, C++ or Pascal are acceptable) * General familiarity With UNIX (AIX and HPUX) operating systems * Knowledge of SQL, relational database concepts, data structures, and reporting * Excellent communication skills * Detail oriented DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * DB/C programming experience * GUI programming experienceMedical Supply and/or Respiratory industry knowledge * Eclipse software development environment experience * Project Management experience in medium to large scale software application * Local candidates strongly preferred; company is not able to offer sponsorships at this time. bpasek@keysol.com
